ILF Teacher Workshops
Over the past six years, the Italian Language Foundation has funded professional development conferences and workshops for teachers of Italian in locations from California to Connecticut.
These workshops, funded by the Generoso Pope Foundation through the Italian Language Foundation, are designed to help teachers of Italian further enhance their competence and confidence in the teaching of Italian language, and especially, AP Italian.
As a member of the Italian Language Foundation, you will be eligible to attend the professional development opportunities offered by the Italian Language Foundation.
Continuing education in the teaching of Italian is paramount to the development of excellent students of Italian.
UPCOMING WORKSHOP DETAILS:
Dear Teachers of Italian,
The Italian Language Foundation is pleased to inform you it will be sponsoring a workshop on the teaching of the AP Italian Language and Culture Course. Participants will learn how to develop activities and assessments that present language in cultural context, appropriately build students' proficiencies in the three modes of communication and integrate "authentic materials" into language instruction. Additionally, workshop attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the exam structure and learn strategies to help students prepare for the exam.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the CASIt. office in Wakefield, Massachusetts from 9 a.m. to 3:00 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be included.
