What Do We Do?

Support the growth of Advanced Placement Program in Italian

ILF Student Members are eligible for the Awards for Excellence, Internships, the Commitment 2 Excellence Program and more.

Train and support teachers of Italian, especially AP Italian

ILF Teacher Members are offered free professional development workshops and webinars and eligible for the Teacher Recognition Awards.

Promote Italian Language study in the United States & the world

Supports the study of Italian language and culture at the highest level in schools and universities throughout the U.S. and across the world.

ANNOUNCING THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE FOUNDATION'S
NEW STUDENT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Beginning January 2023, the ILF will award Fellowships to eligible 11th, 12th graders, and college freshmen.

The ILF Fellowship will be applied towards the study of Italian in an approved U.S. college program.

Students will select from a list of approved U.S. college programs* offering Italian language with business, engineering, medical sciences, etc.

*ILF will provide a college program list

 

Fellowship Eligibility

  1. Student MUST be continuing their HS Italian studies or new to studying Italian in College

  2. MUST be an ILF Student Member whose Teacher is also an ILF Member

  3. Students who score a 4 or 5 on the AP Italian exam or gold medal winners of the AATI National Italian Exam

  4. Contribute a blog describing your H.S. study of Italian

  5. Volunteer as a tutor or to another service group in your high school
