THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE FOUNDATION / July 24, 2018 / Press Release /

NEW YORK, July 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — The Italian Language Foundation is thrilled to announce that participation in the Advanced Placement Italian Language and Culture exam increased 14% from 2017 to 2018.

The Italian Language Foundation – under the leadership of President Dr. Margaret Cuomo, and Board Chairman Mr. Louis Tallarini – was founded in July 2008 with the mission of increasing participation in AP Italian across the United States.

Italian Language Foundation President Dr. Margaret Cuomo said of the 2018 results: “Our goal has been a simple but challenging one since inception: to increase the number of students taking the AP Italian Language and Culture exam, and to prepare teachers to teach AP Italian.  The 2018 AP exam results demonstrate that Italian is the fastest growing AP world language exam offered by the College Board.”
