A Message From The Italian Language Foundation
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on every aspect of our lives. As an organization focused on its members, our students and teachers of Italian, we are aware that the pandemic is affecting their roles as our worldwide ambassadors striving to keep Italian language and culture growing.
We have heard from students of Italian that their internships, summer work opportunities and study abroad have been either postponed indefinitely or cancelled.
From our teacher members, we know through our own outreach efforts that as schools and universities seek to retain their standing as vibrant educational institutions, foreign languages programs and opportunities for professional development may be curtailed.
In the midst of our nation’s battle to function despite this pandemic, we stand ready to support committed students and teachers of Italian. The Italian Language Foundation asks you to join us in our efforts to ensure our student and teacher members can continue to move forward in their commitment to, and love of, Italian language and culture.
Internships & Support Needed
Seeking to hire talented college age students?
Our student members are seeking work and internship opportunities! Is your company socially responsible? If so, please help to ensure Italian language and culture continues to flourish. Our student members are students of Italian seeking to apply their language skills in companies manufacturing and selling Italian products. Most of our students are AP qualified which means they have met the vigorous College Board coursework and exam standards. Support them by joining our Corporate Internship Program (CIP). As a CIP Sponsor you simply commit to hiring at least one Student Member beginning Summer 2020.
Help subsidize student’s education costs
Did you know more students would consider becoming AP qualified if they could afford all the related costs? Italian Language Foundation subsidizes the AP Italian exams costs for students in need. This helps our student members to increase their opportunities to access selective 4-year colleges. Like many non-profit organizations, we are doing our best to serve our members, and we need your support. COVID-19 has increased the challenge for students striving to study Italian. We hope you will join us in our efforts to support the growth of Italian language eduction. Click Sponsor a Student to learn more.
