The Italian Language Foundation Teacher Program

The Italian Language Foundation Teacher Program promotes the College Board’s required professional development for the Advanced Placement Program in Italian Language and Culture. The Italian Language Foundation offers a dedicated support network for Teacher Members to work together to enhance their competence and confidence in the teaching of Italian.

The Italian Language Foundation provides financial support for many of the College Board professional development workshops and special Summer Institutes.
The Italian Language Foundation, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy and the Consulates of Italy throughout the United States, will continue to offer free professional development workshops hosted by College Board certified teachers of Italian.

The Italian Language Foundation also works diligently to recruit teachers of Italian to inspire their students to pursue careers in the teaching of Italian, or in positions of employment where fluency of Italian is required.
